This is a one day hands on crash course that can specifically address any or all of the following topics:

• making and inoculating agar petri dishes

• making and inculating grain spawn

• making and inoculating fruiting substrate

• sterile lab procedures

• cloning wild mushrooms

• fruiting room basics

This is a casual class with some hands on and plenty of time for questions and wiggle room to focus on what you really want to understand.

The DO You Really Want to be a Farmer Course is designed for someone who is pretty certain that they want to be a farmer and like me, learn best with hands on repetition. Mushroom farming sounds romantic but can be messy, tiring, hard work. But if you’ve been bit by the bug, you’ve been bit by the bug.

In this “Course” you’ll basically be a farm employee and will go through all of the motions that I go through on a weekly basis. There will be plenty of time for questions and also enough wiggle room to focus on what you really want to understand.

Lodging is also available on the farm if needed. You’ll have your own apartment with a killer deck to sit out on and listen to the birds.
